As Close as a Ted Talk As I May Get

Here is the video of my Voices of the Year 2013 from the BlogHer conference in July. It’s a little hard to watch because I break down at the 8:30 mark and because it’s bizarre to watch yourself cry.

Imperfections and all, here is my plea to Demand the Supply. (Slightly edited for speaking purposes. Including one of my favorite bad words: bullshit.)

What it made me realize is that I want to publicly speak for a living. Minus the crying. But, with all the errors and mistakes and ugly parts of my life because they are as much a part of me as is all the good stuff.

 

I leave you with this phrase which I fully expect you to use (as will I): That is unacceptable.
